Day 1: Arrival & Northern Lights

Arrive at Kiruna airport, where a driver will be waiting to greet you and take you to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy the first Arctic adventure of your holiday—a guided snowmobile safari into the wilderness to see the northern lights! * After a delicious dinner, your guide will return you to the hotel . Spend the night in Kiruna.

Day 2: Snowmobiles & the ICEHOTEL

Begin the day with another thrilling snowmobile ride, this time to the famous ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi. Every winter, this unique hotel is completely rebuilt by artists from all over the world using mainly snow and ice chunks from the local Torne River. Here, you will enjoy an informative guided tour of the premises, followed by some coffee, sandwiches and other Lappish delicacies served in a hut around an open fire. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure. Spend the night in Kiruna.

Day 3: Huskies & Aurora Sky Station

Today you get to try a different form of Arctic transportation—dog-sledding! After a brief lesson by an experienced musher, you get to hit the trails with your own sled and team of energetic huskies.* During the break, enjoy coffee and a light lunch around a fire.

In the early evening, you are taken by minibus to Abisko for an unforgettable evening of natural beauty and gourmet cuisine. This amazing evening begins with a chair-lift ride to the Aurora Sky Station through the peaceful darkness of the Abisko National Park, offering an unspoilt view of the stars above. At the restaurant, indulge in a delicious, Nordic-inspired three-course dinner, hopefully accompanied by a dazzling northern lights show, and then take part in a guided tour to learn more about the aurora borealis and how to find it. ** Later on, return by mini-bus to your hotel in Abisko. Spend the night in Abisko.

Day 4: Abisko National Park

Enjoy this day at your leisure. Your hotel offers a variety of activities during the week, such as ice climbing, snow shoe trekking and cross country skiing—great ways to explore your surroundings and get some fresh air.* You can also rent skis or snow shoes and head out on your own. However you choose to enjoy the great outdoors, don’t forget to take advantage of the hotel sauna afterwards! Spend the night in Abisko.

Day 5: Train to Kiruna 

Take the train back to Kiruna, and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

OPTIONAL UPGRADE: Overnight at the THE ICEHOTEL
Make the most of your last night in the Arctic with a stay at the ICEHOTEL! The temperatures inside are around -5°C to -8°C, but no worries, you will have your own thermal sleeping bag to keep you toasty as you snooze on a soft layer of reindeer skins. In the morning, wake up to a cup of hot lingonberry juice at your bedside followed by a refreshing trip to the sauna and a hearty breakfast at the on-site restaurant.

Day 6: Departure

Transfer to Kiruna airport. If you leave in the afternoon you might want to take some time to explore Kiruna on your own and do some last minute souvenir shopping.
