Stockholm is northern Europe’s natural centre of culture, food and shopping. In this package, you will visit the world famous ICEBAR and get a chance to enjoy a wide selection of museums, art and design galleries, restaurants, shops and sightseeing opportunities. You can also enjoy world-class dining at several award-winning establishments, as well as a trendy nightlife, in the capital of Scandinavia.
Day 1: Welcome to Stockholm
Begin your winter city break at Arlanda Airport where you are met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. If you arrive early, we recommend getting the Stockholm Card which give you access to many museums and unlimited travel on public transportation.
This evening you will experience Stockholm’s coolest bar – ABSOLUT ICEBAR STOCKHOLM. Here in the world’s first permanent ice bar, the temperature is -5°C all year round, and the entire interior including the glasses, is made from 100% pure, clear ice from the Torne River in Swedish Lapland. Rest of the night is free to explore the city’s many cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.
Day 2: Christmas Market and Shopping
Start the day with a nice Scandinavian breakfast at the hotel before you head downtown to do some shopping in the great department stores and shops. Today you will have time to explore the beautiful Old Town with its many boutiques and handicraft stores. Each day this season you can enjoy a traditional Christmas market here, where you can find local handicraft and delicacies.
We also recommend a visit to SoFo, which is comprised of the streets south of Folkungagatan (hence SoFo). In this district, one of the capital's trendiest, you will find a huge selection of stores and cafés, each with its own individual style. Three words best describe SoFo's atmosphere: young, hip, and laid-back. SoFo is the place to find a variety of independent shops, young fashion, accessories, the best records, interior design and unique pieces. Optional; Rent your own shopping guide who will drive you to the best brands and stores.
Day 3: Departure
Passengers departing on the afternoon flight will have time for some more shopping, visit a museum, or just wind down at a local café before their transfer back to Arlanda Airport.
