Experience Sweden’s majestic Lapland region with this luxurious holiday: feel the thrill of snowmobiling under the stars and try your hand at “mushing” with a team of sled dogs in the Arctic wilderness. Besides the snowy adventures, we provide plenty of opportunities for pampering and relaxation as well! Enjoy a steamy sauna after an exclusive overnight stay at the world famous ICEHOTEL or enjoy evening cocktails with panoramic views of snow-capped mountains in Kiruna, Sweden’s northernmost city.
Day 1: Arrive at Icehotel and Quest for the Northern Lights
Your luxurious holiday begins at Lapland’s Kiruna Airport where your guide awaits to greet you and escort you to the world-famous Icehotel in the nearby village of Jukkasjärvi. The entire hotel is made out of snow and ice blocks taken from the Torne River. It is rebuilt each year and when completed, the hotel features a bar, church, main hall, reception area and rooms and suites for over 100 guests. The Icehotel is world famous for its unique concept and its fantastic works of art. As dusk settles, your guide leads you into the wild for an exhilarating snowmobile tour to view Lapland’s amazing Northern Lights*. Later, after a delicious Lappish dinner, the night is yours to enjoy the splendors of the Icehotel and your own one-of-a-kind Art Suite. * Please note that the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) are a natural phenomenon therefore sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Day 2: Visit to a Reindeer Farm and Husky Sled Ride
You are awakened in the morning with a cup of hot lingonberry juice at your bedside before you are welcomed to the generous breakfast buffet. After breakfast you will be taken on a private tour to a kennel where a skilled dog sled guide instructs you how to “mush” your own team of eager Huskies through the breathtaking Lappish landscape. During the break, warm your toes around a campfire, where hot coffee and sandwiches are provided.
Later in the afternoon you will be taken on a private tour to a reindeer farm and a close encounter with Rudolf and his friends. The farm also provides you with an opportunity to learn about the daily lives and history of the Sami people. Spend the night in a suit at Scandic Ferrum Hotel.
Day 3: Moose Safari by Snowmobile
Begin the day with a tour by car to explore Lapland’s magnificent mountains and arctic forests. Continue the tour by snowmobile at Nikkaluokta, where your tour guide leads you in pursuit of the mighty Arctic moose. A traditional lunch is served in a snug wilderness hut before continuing your moose safari. Return to Kiruna in the evening to enjoy a delightful dinner at your choice of restaurant. Spend the night at the Scandic Ferrum Hotel.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, we personally transfer you to Kiruna Airport in time for your departure flight.
