Experience the bright nights, fine dining, shopping in Stockholm combined with an overnight excursion to the wonderful archipelago of Stockholm. Enjoy a truly unforgettable weekend in the magical “capital of Scandinavia”.
Day 1: Arrival Stockholm
Arrival at Arlanda Airport, meet-and-greet followed by transfer to Stockholm and check in at your centrally located hotel. If you arrive early, we recommend getting the Stockholm Card, which gives you access to most museums in Stockholm, the Stockholm underground and local buses.
Day 2: Boat tour to the Island Grinda
After a traditional Scandinavian breakfast at the hotel, board the ferry heading for Grinda. Grinda is an island located only one hour outside central Stockholm and offers various activities such as kayaking, boating, playing boules, or just enjoying the beach. The first director of the Nobel Committee bought the island in 1906 and built a summer house for the pleasure of his family. Today the art-deco home is the beautiful inn – Grinda Wärdshus. The inn, where you will spend the night, offers fine dining, beautiful ambience and a good night's sleep in the heart of the archipelago.
Day 3: Grinda
Today you will have the whole day to further explore the island, maybe rent a small boat and go out fishing or just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. In the afternoon you will take the ferry back to central Stockholm where the rest of the afternoon and evening is free to explore the city with its museums, shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Stay the night in a hotel in the city center.
Day 4: Departure
Today you be travel via the Aranda Express to the airport for your journey back home. If you are departing on the afternoon flight, you may want to take the time to explore the amazing “Old Town”section of Stockholm, with its narrow alleys and beautiful medieval houses. Otherwise you can use the opportunity to do some last minute shopping, visit a museum, or just wind down at a local café before heading home from your Sweden adventure.
