  • Day 1: Welcome to the Capital of Sweden

Your holiday begins at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, where you will be greeted by a driver and transferred to your hotel in the heart of Sweden’s remarkable capital city. For those who arrive early, we recommend buying My Stockholm Pass, which gives you free admission to a total of 75 experiences, free sightseeing tours, discounts to a number of restaurants, shops and much more.  Suggested attractions include the Vasa Ship Museum or City Hall’s famous Blue Hall, site of the annual Nobel Prize banquet.

    Spend the night in Stockholm.

  • Day 2: Stockholm at Your Leisure

You have the entire day to explore more of magnificent Stockholm and its surroundings. We recommend a guided tour to the Viking mounds in nearby Uppsala or a leisurely stroll through the narrow cobblestone alleys of the city’s medieval Old Town, Gamla Stan. Another suggestion is to spend the afternoon at Fjäderholmarna, the closest island of the Stockholm Archipelago, where you can join a guided tour, shop for local handicrafts and enjoy an authentic Swedish dinner at your choice of restaurants.

    Spend another night in Stockholm.

  • Day 3: Scenic Railway Journey to Malmö

After breakfast, it’s time to board the train to Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city. During your journey, relax and enjoy the idyllic scenery of the southern Swedish countryside as you envision the exciting activities that await you! After arriving and settling in at your hotel in the Malmö city centre, we recommend a visit to Lilla Torg. This marketplace is a popular local meeting point and one of the cosiest places in the city, offering a wide variety of restaurants and cafes.

    Spend the night in Malmö.

  • Day 4: Day of Discoveries in Malmö

Today is wide open for exploring the Malmö area. We recommend visiting the Malmöhus Slott, a Renaissance castle and fortress with an intriguing history that houses the Malmö Museum. You can also head down to the harbour to get a closer look at the Turning Torso, a remarkable skyscraper that twists 90 degrees from top to bottom. At 190 meters (623 feet), it is also the tallest building in Sweden and the Nordic countries.

Another possibility is to take the train over the nearly 8 km (5 mile) long Öresund Bridge to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Here you can visit all the main sights, such as the famous Little Mermaid statue, the National Museum and Christiansborg Palace, just to name a few.

    Spend another night in Malmö.

  • Day 5: Train Ride to Gothenburg

After breakfast, head to the train station for your journey to yet another exciting city, and admire the beautiful landscapes on the ride to Gothenburg. Once you have arrived and settled in at your hotel in the Gothenburg city centre, we highly recommend a stroll along Avenyn, the main shopping and dining street.

    Spend the night in Gothenburg.

Train duration: Approx. 2 hours, 30 minutes

  • Day 6: Free Time to Explore Gothenburg

Spend the day taking in more of the sights of Gothenburg, Sweden's second largest city, perhaps with a guided canal or bus tour. To make the most of your day, we highly recommend getting the Gothenburg City Card, which provides free travel on the city trams and ferries as well as free admission to museums and other attractions, like the Liseberg amusement park.

    Spend another night in Gothenburg.

  • Day 8: Stockholm and Departure

Enjoy one last Swedish breakfast before checking out of your hotel. Transfer to Arlanda Airport is provided by private taxi. If you’re departing on an afternoon flight, you have a bit of time for a nice lunch at a café, a stroll around the neighbourhood and some last-minute souvenir shopping, a perfect way to end your holiday.

Truly relaxing

Hotel accommodations very nice, excellent big breakfasts at all hotels. Convenient location to train stations. Taxi Driver to and from airport in Stolkhom was excellent - Zebastian - very friendly and helpful & professional. Very impressed with reserved seats for us on all trains - a quiet & comfortable ride/tour through the country. It was truly a relaxing and no stress tour for myself and my 86-year old father. Irja did an excellent job of customizing the tour for us.

Highly efficient
